Hello Youjoomla,

I decided to put this question here but not sure it's the best place.

Originally I was going to rebuild my site to look and function a bit like the HD Template demo version. I might still have to do that. However, after realizing doing so might take a lot of time with my relative inexperience, I attempted to use SPUpgrade to migrate the content from my Joomla 1.5 site to 3.+. To my surprise, it looks like it worked.

I like how comments, social media, etc., is all set up with K2. The problem I'm facing is that I've never used it before. For instance, with HD Template demo, there are three categories (in theater, coming soon, best of 2013), and then there are articles written in K2 that are assigned to a category. My articles are all "normal" Joomla articles written using the "normal" Joomla editor. They are in categories of their own. If I move or copy them all into K2, I fear their URLs will change, will wipe out hits, etc.

Therefore, I'm wondering if there's a way to connect the articles I migrated from my Joomla 1.5 site to the K2 categories so that they will appear in the Youyork Module Slider on the frontpage too? Maybe using tags or something?

Please advise.

Many thanks!

Oh, I see now that I can click "Import Joomla! content".

Will this change anything like URLs or hit counts?

Many thanks!

Hello baituo01.
I am sure it will create a new URL for K2 and the hits will not be there because the hits was on Joomla article visit, when you go inside the K2 article the hits will then be created.
Kindness costs the least, but is worth the most!
