I'm wondering about an error that I'm getting, I can't upload a new joomcom module...

"JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths
Warning! Failed to move file"

Any idea what the problem might be?

Thanks much.... Dee

I'm not sure this helps,
but if you get this error in general trying to install components and modules,,,you can start by checking your sites Golbal config
look for the path to logs and tmp

if it's like this:
.. /home/yoursite/public_html/yoursite/logs

then change it to:
../home/yoursite/public_html/logs
../home/yoursite/public_html/tmp

Thanks Orion,

Yes, that was exactly it. When I deleted the home directory files that "appeared to be replicated" ughh... it seems that the home2 was created in lieu of home1.
What a journey this joomla has been.... Dee
