Popups not working on iPad

Hi,
Previously I requested the possibility to make sure thumbnails were shown in article AND blog layout pages. You guys helped me out and that is working great now!

After testing it in several browsers we found one last 'problem'.
Vimeo videos will not show on an iPad. After clicking on the thumbnail either an empty popup will appear or it will directly open the movie on the vimeo webpage instead of showing it in the popup as supposed to.

Is this a known problem? We also contacted Vimeo and they stated it had to do with the plugin we are using...
Anyway, your thoughts are very welcome!
