How to remove the 'back to top' link in the footer

What is the best way to remove the 'back to top' link in the footer of the temlpate.

I would like to remove the "Back to Top" link as well from the template YouResponse. My client doesn't want this visible. What is the best way to do this? Thanks much!

I have used the display: none; in the style sheet but not sure if that is the best way to fix it.
