slider wont slide

Ive taken a week off and am back trying to get my site up... so I am full of unresolved questions. Am using the Newsline Demo... first problem is, my slider wont slide nor will it rotate the images.

slider has nothing to slide,must have min 2 categories with min 1 news item in them
