Untitled Document, we want to link the text on the right hand side of the slider to articles?

in order to link module text you need to reconstruct the complete module since it is not designed to do that. it pulls joomla news items and links to them but you are more welcome to mess with the module template in
yoursite_root/modules/mod_yj_ns10/tmpl/Default/default.php
